Freedom Fest Update: Test Change +More

Hi everyone! We’ve got a ton of entries for the Freedom Festival this weekend, and we are SO EXCITED to see all of you! A few things:

Dressage Tests:

We wanted to remind folks again that due to numerous requests from competitors with recognized shows on the horizon, we have switched the dressage tests to TEST B for all divisions except Intro and Cricket.

Closing Date:

Last day to get in entries is TUESDAY, July 27th. Please get entries in ASAP on our online form!

Our fine friends at the Concession stand in the ConToy Banquet Hall will be serving up breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday 8am-2pm. Best breakfast burrito this side of the Mississippi, and word on the street is that it’s good luck to eat one before going cross-country!

Let us know if you have any questions, and we’ll see you all soon!

Skyline Freedom Fest Now Open

It’s time for another event at Skyline Eventing Park! On June 30 – July 1 we’ll be holding a combined trial and mini event for cricket – prelim combinations. Please join us!

Ride Times Posted for the Spring Event!

Ride times for this weekend are now available on Start Box!

Click Here to Go to Ride Times

Please keep in mind that we are still tweaking some times for folks who have multiple horses entered, and we WILL be running the Sunday show jumping rounds with prelim starting in the morning and ending with intro in the afternoon (the opposite of how it is currently listed). We will have corrected ride times later this evening.

Please let us know if you have any questions! Our show secretary is Stephanie Mulloy – you can reach her at skylineut2015@gmail.com.

Pair Pace at Skyline April 8!

Come to the Skyline Pair Pace – A great opportunity to stretch your legs on the course exactly one month before the spring event!

A pair pace allows 2 riders to go on course together – either in tandem or nose to tail in a timed division. Rather than separating by height, pair paces are separated by – literally – pace. This not only allows riders to go faster or slower as needed, but also for different experience levels to maximize their time on course.

  • Division A ( 400m per minute, galloping pace, fences intro-training available, select prelim fences.)
  • Division B (350m per minute, cantering pace, fences intro-novice available)
  • Division C (250m per minute, Trotting pace, fences intro-novice available/optional)

For example, a trainer could go out on course with a student and school their novice horse as their intro rider takes the smaller fences. Or two experienced riders can go together in the galloping division! It’s up to you.

IMPORTANT: To participate, you MUST enter online by Midnight on April 6 so that we can assign ride times.
